Weiser Fiddle Festival (Chocolate Included) Off the Beaten Path

You still haven’t been to the Weiser Fiddle Festival? Or Weiser Classic Candy? People: this is a serious bit of Americana that needs some of your attention. Every third week of June, the small town of Weiser, Idaho gets taken over by bluegrass fiddlers -- from beginners to world class talent.

To celebrate the festival, there is a parade down Main Street complete with 4H clubs, Rodeo queens, horse formations and people tossing candy from the floats. Only in America will you see stuff like this:

Be sure to stop in at Weiser Classic Candy and get one of their velvet mints, hand-dipped ice cream bars or caramel apples.  You'll be psyched you did.
